Formed by the York Sunbury Historical Society in 1934, the museum is located in the Officers’ Quarters in Fredericton. The famous 42 lb Coleman frog is one of the special features of Museum. The museum offers a unique perspective about the diverse culture, history and heritage of the central region of the New Brunswick. It contains a repertoire of some 30,000 artifacts covering an area of 4000 square feet.
I wish I had found out about the museum earlier! Even living in Fredericton I didn't know where it was (even though it is in Officers' Square). However, even though it is hidden, it is worth checking out. The exhibits... more are fantastic, and the staff are friendly!
