The Mayfair shopping center opened in 1963 as a strip center. This center has over 38 years of history and commitment. The mall added more retail stores and services in the year 1983, 1990 and 1994 respectively. At present there are over 120 stores and services in the mall. In 2003 a beautiful new food court got opened. This center is considered as the most dominant shopping center on the Southern Vancouver Island.
