This cathedral is comparable in terms of size with Paris’s Notre-Dame. The ‘nave’ that was constructed in the twelfth century underwent alteration in the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries. Transcepts and choir can be dated to the fourteenth century. West front isn’t steep; it’s plain; as it had been very much closer to town walls. The best feature with regards to exterior is north doorway; which is richly decorated; that too, with sculpture.
