This is a small chapel decorated by the famous artist Matisse and it is located about 800 meters from the center of Vence. It has only one nave, a small altar in stone, and big colorful windows painted by Matisse. The latter ones represent palm leaves and are majorly painted in green, yellow, and blue. The window I enjoyed the most is the one located right behind the altar which presented a big cactus in the desert that symbolizes life in harsh conditions. On one side of the wall there are drawing of some scenes of the Way of the Cross. Finally, the chapel holds a small museum of biblical pictures, drawings and vestments of the artist. The entrance has a cost and photos are not allowed.
