La Canebiere can be described as the wide boulevard which happens to run for around 1 kilometer down to port. It’s one of the most undisputed hubs of this town. The name has been taken from hemp, i.e. canabe which grew here once upon a time and went on to make provisions for raw materials with regards to rope-making trade of Marseille. A block west, Centre Bourse goes on to provide stark contrast in fiendish, big hypermall of over-lighting, air, and noise conditioning.
