Nice Streets and Neighbourhoods: information about Place Masséna

Place Masséna is the most famous plaza in Nice and the most crowded and haunted by the people. It is surrounded by arcades where you can find stores, cafes, and restaurants. One side of the plaza has a view on the sea. From Place Masséna you can admire the fountain and the monument dedicated to the Cote d'Azur; there are also seven statues – the Jaume Plensa statues – that represent the seven continents. These statues are built on pedestals and the light up at night creating a very romantic and suggestive atmosphere in the plaza.
