Andechs Monastery is located on the Sacred Mountain, located in Bavaria nearby Ammersee and 45 minutes away from Munich.
Legend tells that in the tenth century San Rasso placed on this site, some relics that he had gathered in the Holy Land and in 1388 there was the miraculous discovery of the relics “the three holy hosts”.
From here began the pilgrimage to the Sacred Mountain and the sanctuary, still widely visited even for the production of its tasty beer.
