It is considered to be one of the most important museums of its kind in Germany. Hamburg’s Zoological Museum and Botanical Gardens (Zoologisches und Botanisches Museum) has a collection of zoological specimens of high scientific value.

Covering an area of 2000 square meters, the exhibit contains nearly 90, 000 animal species including birds, mammals, amphibians, insects, reptiles, fish, molluscs and invertebrates.

The Zoo was established in the year 1848 by Carl Hagenbeck. It has a good collection of animals who are not kept in cages. There are Panorama exhibits of many species of animals and mammals like seals, walruses, reindeer, polar ... Vedi tutto bears and others. This thing was rebuilt after the World War II as it was destroyed during the World War II. Tierpark Hagenbeck is still running well and is run by the Hagenbeck family after his death.
