The Schanzenviertel district is one of the centers of Hamburg’s alternative culture.
It started out as a residential area for the working class and later became a meeting place for musicians, artists and skaters, a versatile area full of talented people.
The district is in the north of the city and it is built around Schanzenstrasse, the main road, from which you can reach any area of Schanzenviertel.
