Among the many theaters of Hamburg, the Deutsches Schauspielhaus definitely deserves special mention. It is located in the district of St. Georg, more precisely, 39 Kirchenallee. The theater is very centrally located, and so easy to reach, it’s very near Hamburg Hauptbahnof, the main train station.
The theater is built in Baroque style, with a capacity of nearly 2000 people, it’s one of the biggest theaters in Germany.
The façade of the theater is of great interest, it is decorated with busts of some of the most important figures of German culture (Goethe and Schiller), and international culture (Shakespeare).
