Delos in Mykonos
The Island of Delos, as well as Mykonos, is part of the Cyclades archipelago, and you can hop from one island to another by ferry. Completely uninhabited, it is home to a large outdoor archeological museum. It was added to the list of Unesco World Heritage Sites in 1990. It is thought that the first human settlements on the island date from 3000 BC. Mythology has it that Latona fled to Delos to escape the wrath of Hera, thus giving birth to Apollo and Diana, who had two temples built in their honor.
