Salar Jung Musem is the 3rd largest museum in India and one of the largest one-man-collections in the world. Salar Jung Musem is a royal treat to the connoisseurs with a collection of over 43000 art objects, 9000 manuscripts and 47000 printed books, dating back to the 1st century. Charminar is a mosque of the four minarets built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah in 1591 to commemorate the eradication of plague as well as in honour of his wife (said by some); shortly after he had shifted his capital from Golkonda to what now is known as Hyderabad.
