While its well-preserved paintings, old photographs (of the royal houses of Bikaner and Mewar), period furniture and curios lend a distinctive ambiance that relaxes the travel-weary guests. Bikaner, the walled city on the Rajasthan border is famous for its forts, palaces, temples, fairs and festivals, arts and crafts, folk music and wildlife.
