Kilkenny, located on the banks of the River Nore, is a city in Kilkenny County, Ireland. With a population of around 9,000 permanent residents, it is the smallest city in Ireland. Famous for its historic culture and a vibrant nature, Kilkenny is a charming city where the old and contemporary cultures exist in perfect harmony.
Characterised by a continental climate, Kilkenny has mild temperatures. The climate is also highly variable with irregular rains. Summers are warm and long while winters are cold with occasional precipitation.
Kilkenny has a rich architectural history, resulting in it being called the ‘Marble City’. It was also a major trade centre with a flourishing history of brewing. It is famous for its dairy production and is a popular tourist destination as well.

Overall Guide : The castle and the town is very quaint and very beautiful, for those who are interested there is a brewery :) and a well-stocked supermarket. The only problem is that you have to travel many kilometres to get there, but... more luckily there's a port nearby (I don't know if there are routes for passengers, I left from Dublin). The people are very hospitable. I don't what the prices are like there now.
