Perugia Monuments and Historic Buildings: Cathedral of San Pietro

The Cathedral of San Pietro was first built in the 10th century. Pietro Vincioli, a Perugian noble, was the first patron of the monastery. This Cathedral was burnt down and rebuilt in 1463. At the entrance one can see the Triple Arched Portal to the main court, which reflects Porta Di San Pietro. The interiors are a blend of ancient columns and have Palaeochristian basilical structure.
