Description

It rises on the ruins of an ancient Roman house. It is one of the oldest churches in the city and its facade, built in 1603 by Carlo Maderno, is considered the first example of Baroque architecture in Rome. The church is dedicated to the martyr Santa Susanna, whose history is represented in the paintings on the walls of Belshazzar Cross.
