Rivarossi Museum of Train Models was situated in Como, Lombardy. The museum was located in the Riva & Rossi plant consisting of all the train models ever produced by the famous Italian company that was established in 1945. The museum had in display about 5000 items, right from the very first toy trains to the present day models.
It also had collection of American models which were quiet interesting. The museum was worth visiting for knowing the development of the train from ancient days to the modern ones. Every year, thousands of tourists visited the museum.
Unfortunately the Rivarossi Museum is now closed. The building where it was until a few years ago has been torn down and the Museum has not been reopened yet.
