The National Museumof Ravenna is located inside the courtyard of the Benedectine cloister. The Museum belongs to the bigger complex of San Vitale. This Museum is recommended for it’s collection of “minor” art, such as stele, epigraphs, archeological artefacts, icons and tissues from different epochs. Don’t forget the collection of ancient weapons. Inside this complex, the viewer can appreciate Santa Chiara frescoes of XIV century. The ancient female monastery today doesn’t exist anymore: in fact the Church has been transformed in Luigi Rasi Theatre.
