Rialto Market in Venice
If you want to get a real taste of the popular Venetian atmosphere you have to visit the Rialto Market, one of the oldest market in Venice and it is also a real historical place for Venetians.
Located near the homonymous Bridge, stretching between Campo de la Pescaria and the Campo San Giacometto, it is held every day except Sundays. The market is always animated by a crowd of people who buy the products needed for the Venetian cuisine.
The market is divided into two parts: in the first part you can find fruits and vegetables and in the second one there’s the fish market. The area of the market has become so famous and touristy to become a meeting place. As a matter of fact, Rialto is now also a busy shopping area where they're increasing tourism-related activities and the number of venues for aperitifs and nights.
