The Arsenal of Venice represents a big part of the Old City, for many years it has represented the core of the venetian naval and military industry. Well hidden and protected from enemies strikes coming from the sea, which by now no longer represent a threat, the Arsenal is located on the northern side of the Darsena Grande in the oriental zone of insular Venice. How to reach: you can go to the Arsenal taking bus line number 1 and 41 from Piazzale Roma and getting off at ‘Arsenal’ bus stop. Or, otherwise, you can take bus line number 2 from ‘Tronchetto’, getting off at ‘Giardini Biennale’ and then walking or following with bus line number 41 from Sacca Fisola.
