Kaminarimon is also known by the name Kaminari Gate and is the outer entrance of the Senso-ji.
This gate has beautiful lanterns and even statues, giving it a breathtaking look. The original gate was almost 11.2 meters tall and is spread in an area of 69.2 square miles. This historic monument was built in 942 AD, during which time, it was built near Komagata.
The present structure was built in 1960, having four statues representing Shinto Gods, Raijin, Fujin and Buddhist God Kinryu and Tenryu.
