Nakuru is a town situated almost in the middle of Kenya, in the hearts of the Rift Valley. Its situated about 140kms from the kenyan capital, Nairobi, just one and half hours away. On your way from the city to... more Nakuru,you will experience panaromic views, beautiful scenery with alot of wildlife on the sides of the road. The attractions range from the escarpments of the Rift Valley ,to lakes such as lake Naivasha, lake Elementaita and lake Nakuru and mountains and hills such as Mount Longonot and The Menengai crater in Nakuru. As you approach the town, there are several hotels, restaurants, bars, night clubs and shopping malls. The shopping malls and suppermarkets outside town include the Tuskys super market and the Naivas supermarket Mall, while the hotels and restaurants include, Stem hotel, hotel Kunste, cool and comfy hotel. The bars and clubs include oserian loung.

The park lies in Central Kenya, 140km north-west of Nairobi, in Nakuru district of the Rift Valley Province. The ecosystem comprises of the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grasslands. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos... more (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.
