The National Park of Lake Nakuru was established in 1961 and has since expanded at a rapid rate. One of the most spectacular scenes you may on earth is the 'lake of pink', which is due to the millions of ... Both black and white rhinos can be spotted on a safari through the park, along with baboons, giraffes, warthogs, and predators such as lions and leopards. The lake's abundance of algae attracts these birds that famously line the shore. In fact, Lake Nakuru is the single most important foraging site for the lesser flamingo anywhere, and a major nesting and breeding ground for great white pelicans. It has been described by ornithologists as the greatest bird spectacle in the world.
