Posada del Mar is located directly across the street from a beautiful white sand beach on the turquoise Bay of Mujeres with Cancun in the distance. We are four blocks from the main pier and downtown. The famous North Beach is within walking distance of our hotel. Posada del Mar is a small Caribbean Style hotel set among lush tropical grounds, consisting of 30 rooms in the Main Building with three floors and 21 large rooms in the New Section. Isla Mujeres and Posada del Mar are an excellent combination for children. Two children, 11 years and under, can stay FREE in the same room with two full-paying adults. When you stay at Posada del Mar you are considered to be a member of our family. Just ask and we will do our best to accommodate you. Guest rooms are equipped with tile floors, individual air conditioning, a ceiling fan, shower and balcony. A colonial style aqueduct provides a waterfall into our swimming pool. When our guests are not out exploring the island, they are lounging around our swimming pool. All types of water sports can be arranged at our beach club or at the front desk of the hotel. Posada del Mar has a new manager of its poolside bar, and in his honor, the bar, formerly known as The Mayan Bar, will now be called 'Romi's Bar!' Romi has been with the hotel for almost a quarter of a century and is now in charge of the delicious pina coladas, margaritas and the cold, cold beer, which have made the bar so popular with our guests. During Happy Hour (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM), Romi's will serve Mexican Botanas (snacks), like Nachos, Guacamole and other Mayan Delights, to accompany the drinks and delight the palate. Located next to the swimming pool, Romi's Bar is the ideal spot to enjoy your favorite beverage and snack in a relaxed environment, featuring our festive wooden bar, with swings for chairs. Romi's Bar is open from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. Pinguinos Mexican Cafeteria & Bar offers a delightful view of the beach and Caribbean, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
