District and parish church of San Cristobal or the Barrio y Templo Parroquial de San Cristóbal is situated in Merida, Yucatan. Founded in 1757, its construction got completed in 1796. Though the architect of this historic building yet unknown, many doubt that it may have been Juan de Torres, the architect of another church located in Uman. The vaulting and the dome over crossing are similar to those of the Cathedral. In 19th century, a neoclassical stone retablo got added to the historic building. With beautiful baroque touches, the site is worth of a visit.
