The Bushman Art Museum and African Museum located in the centre of Windhoek, started as a souvenir and gift shop and soon became a private gallery which is today one of the most popular spots in Namibia to see, cherish and buy African Art. There's a free entrance and you'll find the museum at 187 Independence Avenue. It's fascinating!
It displays cult objects, domestic utensils of local Bushmen and Himba tribes; on sale there is an impressive range of artifacts from all over Africa! The Bushmen Museum houses the most amazing collection of African arts and crafts on sale in Namibia, definetely a not-to miss spot during your journey...You'll find there the typical African masks, jewellery, selections of carvings and more! You'll be sure to take back home pieces holding flair and energy from the African continent so rich in its many traditional artifacts holding stories of men and women of villages, still untouched by"progress", mantaining that strong bond with nature, and the roots of the many tribes populating the continent.
