The function of a museum is always defined as the teaching of the youngsters and the school going children. The objective is achieved through the visual representation of different antiquities, having an association to the subject, we want to express ... Vedi tutto or cover. So a method will be introduced through which we may collect and display the objects in such a way that it will present a clear picture of a specific region. Fortunately there are a number of museums in Pakistan like Lahore Museum national Museum Karachi the archaeological museums at Harappa Moenjo-Daro Sawat Tasxila and Peshawer. But all these museums do not fulfill the requirements of all the regions. Most of the regions are much important in historical perspective but having no museum at all. So this scarcity of museums is a big hurdle in the way of learning of our youth. They are totally devoid of the history of their ancestors; they have almost forgotten the norms customs traditions and the ways of life of their elders. If such historically important areas are not dealt with an archaeological research, the cultural heritage of these regions will vanish away. And the upcoming generations will find no space in the annals of history. So it should be felt that a museum is necessary in each historically important region or at least each division of the province should have a Museum. Faisalabad (old Layyalpur) is the third largest city of Pakistan and the second largest city of the Punjab. It is introduced as a city of central Punjab important because of its rapid agricultural and industrial growth. The city includes the prints of Sikh rule British rule and the changes after the creation of Pakistan when Muslims also contributed in the building art of the city. It is having four districts namely Jhang, Toba Tek Sigh, Chiniot and Faisalabad itself. Jhang is important because of the meeting of two big rivers Jehlum and Chanab. It is also important being the seat of Nawabs of Jhang i.e. Sial tribe. This land is also important because of the love tales of Heer Ranjha and Mirza Sahiba. Chiniot is important because of its wood work that is marvelous in the whole region. It has a hill station that is the continuation of Aravali series of mountains. These rocks contain some inscriptions of the period of white Huns. In the same way Toba Tek Sigh is also important being a big grain market and the producer of milk products in the region So feeling the importance of the region and the importance of the city the government of the Punjab has decided to establish a museum in the city. We will deal with the making of this museum from proposal to the opening of the museum for the visitors.
