HeaderPageTitle-GetPartialViewNoCache = 0,0009764
The Gothic designed Wawel Castle in Krakow was built at the behest of Casimir III, the Great. This building has many structures which are around the central courtyard. By 14th century, it was rebuilt by Jogaila and Jadwiga of Poland. During this time, the Hen’s Foot and the Danish Tower were added. It is said that people lived here at the Wawel Hill for at least 50,000 years ago in the Paleolithic Age. This castle has state apartments, on the top, third floor rather than the second like Italian palaces.
