The Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow is a large museum of old aircraft and engines that is situated in the Krakow Rakowice Czyzyny Airport. Perfect for those who are aviation enthusiasts, the museum has over 200 aircrafts and 22 extremely rare airplanes that were once part of German military leader Hermann Goring’s personal collection before World War II.
The museum itself is filled with high-tech displays and exhibits including a cinema and an interactive space display for the kids, after having received a generous grant for the European Union to help renovate and modernize the museum. You’ll have to bring an English-speaking tour guide with you though, as most of the display descriptions are in Polish only.
The Polish Aviation Museum is located on Aleja Jana Pawla II and is open Monday though Saturday from 9:00am to 6:00pm (the museum is closed on Sundays). Admission is 10 zloty for adults and 5 zloty for children. For more information, contact +48 640 99 60.
