Glamour Night in Zakopane
As we’ve already mentioned, Zakopane is no where near the party town that other Polish cities such as Warsaw, Wroclaw, or Sopot has. Most of the action in this tourist town happens on the slopes, so if you are looking for a good night out, unfortunately you might be disappointed.
Most of the drinking happens in restaurants lined up on Krupowki Street in the town center, with Café Piano being one of the best. It’s small, but it does pack a punch with its combination folk art and Japanese style, with top-notch jazz music. The décor also has bar stalls that look like individual swings hanging from pieces of rope tied to the ceiling.
If you are still in the mood for dancing even after all the hiking and skiing done during the day, then check out Morskie Oko. The crowd is a mix of the young and the mature, with both old and new dance tracks played. Tourists love the psychedelic-Gorale ambience, but you’d have to check it out for yourself to believe it. If you are looking for something more sophisticated, thankfully there’s Va Va Voom with a hip bar and decidedly better European dance music. The interior is full of sparkly furniture, a big square bar and good lighting. If you are looking to bust a move during the week, you might be out of luck as the club is usually only open on the weekends.
