Jordan Park in Cracow
Cracow Parks and Garden: Information about Jordan Park
If you came to this park to relax, you might want to rethink your visit. Jordan Park in Krakow (or Park Jordana) was built with physical education in mind, with fitness-minded adults and children running, exercising, and playing pick up games of basketball and volleyball in this wonderfully organized park.
Popular with the locals, the park dates back from 1889 and is the first known park to be established in the city. The original Jordan Park included a swimming pool, 12 playing and soccer fields as well as numerous running and exercise tracks. Indoor facilities were later added for bad weather purposes as well as a monument of founder and local philanthropist Henryk Jordan.
The park is also perfect for families with a well-equipped and modern children’s playground. Located on Al. Maja 3, the park is open from dusk to dawn.
