Krakow is full of wonderful parks and gardens, with the Ogrod Botaniczny being a great place to spend a warm summer afternoon strolling through the wonderful trees and shrubs. Located in Jagiellon University and first founded in 1783, it is one of the oldest gardens in the city and home to a connecting museum that highlights the city and country’s flora and fauna as well as its botanical history.
The botanical garden is also home to different exhibits and art displays, so check the University’s web site for a calendar before making your trip. Located on ul. Kopernika in Krakow, the garden is open everyday from 9:00am to 7:00pm, although winter hours may change. For more information, or for a guided tour in English, contact +48 12 421 26 20.
