Ile de la Madeleine for a Day in Dakar
Our last day in Dakar, we really wanted to have a fun, relaxing and cultural experience-time all at the same time, so, after some"consulting" among us we decided to head for and make the trek to Ile de la Madeleine; these islands are a natural reserve, practically nobody lives there, a natural paradise!
Having already had our share of touristy beaches where every five minutes somebody comes up to you to sell you something well, quite a respite from all this there! This break sounded really as such a delightful relief and promising in terms of exploring nature and relax... We set out early we had to find a national park ranger to take us there in the end we reached one of the two islands the. It was like a desert looking mountain in the middle of the ocean and we spotted a lovely cove for swimming, then sights of millions of cormorans flying over us! We took a tour of the island seeing great views of Dakar then reached the other island, called Ile de Lougues. It surely was one of my fav days! Heading back we realized how beautiful the pictures we took were, we caught fantastic natural scenes.
