Fuerteventura Beaches : Playa de Cofete
The big Cofete beach in an uncontaminated, natural site of rare beauty; it stretches along several kilometers and it is made of extremely fine white sand. The wild landscape is partly due to the fact that the area is difficult to reach: in fact, to get there you need a SUV and drive one hour along uncomfortable and unpaved roads. The beach is never crowded and it is the destination of families and couples looking for a romantic place where to walk. But it is neither equipped with beach umbrellas nor with sun beds, and it is affected by really strong winds. Though it is worth getting here, it is better to check the weekly weather report to make sure you can enjoy a sunny sea day. Excellent beach for surfing, the fearless ones can set off with a mountain bike and trekking equipment. From Morro Jable, be guided by to the directions to the lighthouse and turn right. After a couple of paved kilometers, the gravel road begins, or you can follow the signaled paths.
