The Temple de la Sagrada Família Expiatori is a large Catholic church still under construction since 1882. It is one of Gaudí's masterpieces, the greatest exponent of Catalan modernism. The vastness of the project and his distinctive style has made it one of the main symbols of the city and a tourist stop is required. It will be completed in 2026.

Sagrada Familia is the most popular modern-styled church in Barcelona, Spain.The foundation stone of Sagrada Familia was laid in 1882 and it is still not complete. The building, designed by Antoni Gaudi, is one of the most popular tourist attractions ... Vedi tutto in Barcelona. Gaudi died in 1926; at the time, only a façade, a tower, the apse and the crypt were complete. Once completed, the church will have 18 towers and a capacity to house 13,000 people. The ‘Glory Façade’ which is presently under construction, will display a series of pictures of life and death of humans. The ‘Passion Façade’ is a major attraction as it has sculptures that depict the Crucifixion of Christ. The Sagrada Familia has a museum which has a collection of stories about Gaudi and the church as well. Tourists can also visit one of the completed towers for a view of Barcelona. The Temple of Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia was often called as the Sagrada Familia. This is a huge Roman Catholic Church which is under construction in Barcelona in Catalonia. The construction began in 1882 which is still in process ... Vedi tutto till date. This religious temple is schedule to open for worship in 2010. This was designed by Antoni Gaudi who worked on this project for 40 years. After his death, the work continued under the direction of Domenech Sugranyes.
