As anyone who has visited Spain knows, it’s all too easy to feel spoiled with the over indulgence of history and culture that the country has to offer. The Museo de los Carrujes in Seville is a museum that takes you back to a time before the internet and iPhones, where you can enjoy viewing all different types of horse-drawn carriages. Or simply, if you are really into horse carriages, this museum is for you.
Visitors can check out carriages that are used to parade through the city’s streets decorated with flowers, shawls, and bells for the April Fair or for other important events, to those used as a means of transportation for farmers from the outskirts of Seville or nearby villages and townships.
Located near the bustling Plaza de Cuba, the museum is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm, and on Saturdays. The museum is closed on Sundays. For more information, call +34 95 427 2604.
