The Puerta del Sol, is a Spanish name for Gate of the Sun and is considered as one of the most recognized and the busiest places in Madrid. This is the centre of the radial network of Spanish roads. Moreover, the Puerta del Sol is believed to have originated as one of the gates in the city wall which surrounded Madrid in the 15th century. Also, it contains numerous popular sights which are connected domestically and internationally with Spain. Further, the square is the center of attraction for tourists around the world.
