Plaza Mayor is a city square which was designed by Alberto Vhurriguera in 1729 to 1733 and this is the main square in Salamanca. The primary material which was used for the building is sandstone. The surrounding buildings are made in Baroque style. Moreover, this square is also the most beautiful square in entire Spain. Until mid 1800s, there used to be bullfights which were organized in the square.
The Plaza Mayor is an 18th century square and is one of the largest squares in Spain.
