Corralejo in the North of the Island is quite a big town with every kind of facilities. One kilometre South of Corralejo, there are the famous desert sand dunes: a natural park made of 6 kilometres of Sahara sand dunes. The sand is brought by the Morocco wind. This place is very suggestive and enchanting with Flag Beach.

The Lobos Island is a natural park and it is very evocative, volcanic and uninhabited. It has just one restaurant and a really wide trekking track. It has some marvellous golden sand beaches and bays. You can climb La Cadera mountain, that is the volcano which generated the island.

There are a salt lake and an observatory at the far end of the Island. La Oliva, a basic though nice town, has a Canary art centre and a lovely church, and is in the centre of Betancury island, the former capital city. Ancient and suggestive, it is well supplied with small shops and restaurants. It has a nice square with a church, and it is built on several levels.

Ajuy has dark sand beaches and a beautiful reef on top of which a breathtaking promenade stretches. El Cotillo with its fortress near the little harbor and the tower on the cliff, has a fantastic and kilometers long sandy beach held in the rocky cliff. It is a free-entry beach, very popular, and the sea is amazing.

Calete de fuste is a tourist place with a large, equipped beach and a beautiful tourist centre with shops and restaurants. Tarajalejo has a small promenade along the sea and bars on the beach. Gran Tarajal is a town with shops and a fascinating promenade along the sea.

On the Calm Coast, in the Jandia peninsula, there is Playa de Sotavento beach: long extended,  it offers free-entrance and a golden beach. Morro, Jable, is a tourist town. Puerto del Rosario, the capital city, is the harbor and city centre area. It has churches and buildings, fountains and monuments. El Carmen has the salines and the De la Sal Museum.

In La Pared, the Western coast with cliffs and wild sea, there is a restaurant and a hotel near the rocky beach mixed with sand. This is the centre of the island with a hilly and volcanic landscape. Playa de La Solapa and Playa de Garcey, on the Western side, have high dark Oceanic rocks and dark beaches. Here there is the wreck of the American Star. Try to visit Lanzarote: there is a  very interesting landscape.
