The Gallery of Modern Art is known to be the second mainly visited contemporary art gallery museums in Europe. This museum opened to the public in 1996 and is housed in a neo classical building in Glasgow. The building itself was designed by David Hamilton in 1778. GOMA offers events and such display of temporary workshops and exhibitions. Since its opening in 1996, it has hosted many million visitors. The building consists of a café, multimedia, a free internet access terminals and even general book lending amenities.
