Greenwich Park is the oldest Royal Park in London, England covering 183 acres of land.  Home to small herd of Red deer, it is located atop a hill.  Known as a former hunting park in Greenwich, the park provides... more amazing view over the River Thames, City of London and Isle of Dogs.  Open year around, the park closes at dusk. There are many amenities offered at this park for all, like children’s playground on the lower level of the park, an adjacent boating lake, a herb garden, an extensive flower garden on the upper level with a large duck pond and many more. What’s more convenient about this park is it also has a cricket pitch, a favorite amongst the locals who frequently are the visitors of this lovely park. One can even find an Observatory here other than a small café by the North West gate. London will be hosting the Summer Olympics in 2012 here at this park for the  equestrian events, for riding and even for running parts of some of the pentathlon events.
