The Market Gates Shopping Center in Great Yarmouth first opened its doors in 1976 and is the city’s premier shopping center with over 45 shops divided by two levels. The shopping center received a facelift in 2007, with a new concourse built over the bus station and the remodeling of the center’s interior. In the fall of 2008, the extension opened to the public with branches of Debenhams, New Look at Starbucks.
Some of the major stores inside include Boots, Game, JD, Orange, Blue, Inc., BrightHouse, Dorothy Perkins, Gamestation, New Look, Peakcocks, Wilkinson, and more. There is also an Iceland Store as well as Poundland and 99p Stores.
The shopping center is open from Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:30pm and Sundays and Bank Holidays from 10:00am to 4:00pm. There is a parking garage accessible near the shopping center with direct pedestrian access. For more information, call 01493 858677.
