The city of Ann Arbor is located in the county seat of Washtenaw County in the Michigan State of the United States. As per the census in 2000, the population of the city was 114,024 people.
This made the city the 7th largest city in Michigan State. Almost 32 % of the total population consisted of graduates or college students. The city is well known with visitors for being the home to the University of Michigan. Previously this university was located in 'Motown' Detroit up to the year 1837.
The city is enjoying a rapid growth in economy. Biotechnology, latest electronic technology and education are the main factors which help in the economic growth of the city.
It is a politically liberal city. Tourists are attracted by the large number of performance venues and restaurants in this city. River Huron flows along the edge of the city. Ann Arbor is called 'Tree Town' for having several widely spread dense forests.
The city experiences a Midwestern humid continental climate. Winters are moderately cold with frequent snowfall.

The gallery exhibits creations of local as well as international artists.    The oldest building of Ann Arbor is famous for holding the Kelsey Museum of Archeology. The museum holds an outstanding collection of various artifacts from Rome, Greece, Egypt and Near East.
