Overall Guide : Since Berkeley is home to the University of California, it is the major attraction in the city. The university was established here in March 1868. The campus is a fine blend of natural beauty and architectural marvels. There are several... more buildings in the campus which possess a classic older look. The Sather Tower is a famous feature of the campus. It is a clock and bell tower, which overlooks the beauty of the surrounding area. Judah L. Magnes Museum holds a huge collection of Jewish-Americana and Jewish artefacts, arts, archives and books. Visitors can see the mesmerizing wealth of historical facts about California in this museum. This is a great place to learn about California. Berkeley is a paradise for nature lovers. They can visit Lake Anza in Berkeley. The lake is situated in a magnificent, beautiful park. The park offers charming natural areas and various activities such as swimming. The 20th century built Greek Theatre is the regular venue of the University graduation ceremony.
