Breckenridge is a small city in Summit County in Colorado, USA. This city, with an area of approximately 13 sq km, houses a population of around 3,000 residents. The city was founded 1859 as a mining town; later, the town flourished with the discovery of gold.
The topography of Breckenridge is a diverse mix of lakes, jungles, mountains, geothermal springs and beautiful valleys. River Blue, Lake Dillon and the Rocky Mountains are some of the most important geographical landmarks in the city.
Blessed with a high-alpine climate, summers in Breckenridge are nice and warm and winters, freezing cold. It is not unusual for temperatures to fall to as low as –17°C during winters. Home to some of the most popular ski resorts, this city’s economy is primarily dependent on the tourism industry as gold mining has been prohibited in the city. The real estate business has also been doing very well lately.

Overall Guide : The Park Avenue pub and Mi Casa are good places to have a nice drink while the Blue River Bistro is quite famous for its martini. One can surely enjoy their evening at the Breckenridge Theatre for performing arts, where ... Leggi tutto there are a lot of shows conducted through out the season. Breckenrige Welcome Center is partially a museum and partially an information center so it helps all the tourists to know, the little and interesting facts about the city. Some of the other museums that are a must to visit are the Barney ford house museum, Edwin Carter Museum, Main Street Historic museum and Mountain top children’s museum. The three most conveniently located towns near Breckenridge are the Frisco, Dillon and the Silverthrone. These places are beautiful and considered to be good tourist attractions. The Breckenridge Festival of film takes place around September every year. Backstage theater is also a very important festival and has won lot of awards.
