Cambridge is located in Massachusetts, USA. It has a population of around 101,000 inhabitants and the city is spread over an area of approximately 18 sq km. This city was established by the British in 1630 and was called Newtowne at the time.
The economy of Cambridge revolves around the two major universities, the Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; they are the main employment providers. Besides these, the other activities contributing to its economic growth are the manufacturing industry and the information technology sector.
Cambridge can be visited throughout the year as it does not experience extremes of temperatures. July is the warmest month of the year and January is the coolest. The topography of this city includes huge ponds, long rivers, beautiful hills and a lot of green vegetation.

Overall Guide : There is so much to see and do in Cambridge that one needs a really long vacation to enjoy it to the fullest. Lovers of history can visit the Busch-Reisinger Museum, MIT Museum, Fogg Art Museum etc. to get informed ... Leggi tutto about the history of this magnificent place. The museums house paintings, artefacts, antiquities and so on that is worth admiring. Similarly, Cambridge is home to numerous architectural masterpieces for instance the City Hall, Cooper-Frost-Austin House, Long Fellow National Historic Site and many more. Nature lovers too will have ample number of attractions and sites to visit and enjoy. There are several nature trails, for example the African-American Heritage Trail, where one can explore the nature. Some of the popular churches worth a visit are Christ Church, Cambridge and the Harvard-Epworth United Methodist Church.
