Irvine lies in the state of California in the United States in Orange County. This well planned city has a population of 202,079 according to the 2007 census. There are several educational institutes and colleges in the city and it is also home to a number of corporations in the technology sector.
The city of Irvine has held the title of the safest city in the United States since 2005. Other cities nearby include Newport beach, Lake Forest, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Aliso Viejo and Santa Ana.
Being in the coastal region of southern California the city has a Mediterranean climate where summers are warm and hot and the winters are cool and humid with temperatures rarely falling below zero.

Pao Fa Temple is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the United States and attracts a number of Vietnamese American and Chinese people for worship. This temple, built in 2002 on the site of a Pacific Bell building, holds a number of Buddhist activities like chanting and meditation. Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre is a huge complex with an indoor seating capacity of 16,085 and an outdoor seating in the lawn area for 5,911 people. There are several concerts, plays, music performances and more held at the theatre. Since 1987 the amphitheatre has housed the popular Pacific Symphony Orchestra.

Overall Guide : Irvine is lovely place, clean and full of greenery. Citizens are looked after. Transportation is very very bad. A tourist without a car seems to be paralysed here. Nobody in USA is thinking to improve this aspect in California.
