Overall Guide : Plymouth Rock By tradition, known as the place where the pilgrims disembarked. But for supporting this theory there isn’t any evidence from historical books. The 94 year old Thomas Faunce  made the identification of the Plymouth Rock, as the actual landing... more site. The rock is situated roughly 650 feet (200 m), away from where the first settlement was expected to be built. "Plymouth Rock", more famous as a large boulder, is now placed  below  a granite canopy, especially  designed by a famed astronomical illustrator Chesley Bonestell. It is placed in centre of the Pilgrim Memorial State Park. Plimoth Plantation It known as a museum living history, which is sited  on the southern side of Plymouth Center, The museum opened in 1947. It has a recreation of an Pymouth settlement of 1627 and one Wampanoag house of the 17th century. The museum exhibits a big craft centre and  also has tour guides playing roles. Another feature of the museum is the Nye Barn, an imitation of a farming homestead of 1627is also included in the exhibits. Its an rare combination of animals on the farm, which could be found in the Plymouth Colony, but not in todays date. The original exhibits of the mususeum were the Exhibit of  the first house and the Mayflower II, it later got expanded and was  made into an big town and also a Native American Village of 1960’s. National Marine Aquarium Best places for people of all age groups. Here the young ones can learn about the variety of fishes and in genral about the ocean. Turtles, sharks, rockpools can be viewed under the tanks, and also many other different fishes of large tanks. They also have a café upstairs and a nice gift shop.
