The American city of Boston has several churches but King's Chapel takes on a particular role. It is a sacred building in the central district of Boston. The beautiful chapel of stone was built during the second half of the XVIII century and was required by James II of England. The history of this building is quite troubled since the colonies did not want to sell their land to have a non puritan church built. The church, in fact, should have been a Catholic worship place, like the King who wanted its building. In the chapel Mary Chilton and John Wintrop's relics are buried. She was the first woman who landed from the Mayflower. He was the first colonial governor.
