No trip to Daytona Beach is complete without a taste of racing culture. Daytona’s Living Legends of Auto Racing Museum was created in 2005 as a way to honor this tradition in Daytona and recognize the pioneers of beach and stock car racing. The exhibits provide a glimpse into the history of auto racing, transporting you into another era of antique racing vehicles and memorabilia. The museum is filled with cars with loads of period detail and style!!!
If you want to feel like a real racecar driver, the Living Legends of Auto Racing club sells apparel and souvenirs like t-shirts, hats, books and dashboard plaques for your car. With free admission, this is an economic way to get a little flavor of the local history, culture and fun while on vacation.
The museum is located in Daytona’s Sunshine Park Mall on South Ridgewood Avenue and is open Monday through Saturday.
